My Background

I am a native New Yorker who has been practicing in Manhattan and Brooklyn for the past 20 years. I received my Masters in Social Work from New York University in 2006. I studied Relational Psychotherapy at the Mitchell Center for Relational Studies in 2012. Growing up, I attended Laguardia High School for Music and Art and the Performing Arts with a focus on visual arts. Prior to formally studying therapy, I volunteered many years at Gay Men's Health Crisis assisting people with concerns about their health and safety and to accept changes and losses.

These opportunities all helped me to value the ways we impact each other in our interactions, and the many ways that creativity can help to alleviate our discomfort. Clients I have worked with tend to experience me as having a supportive, patient, thoughtful, funny, and kind presence. In our work together, I will draw upon the trust we build together in order to help you move through and surpass obstacles in your life.
